The Loss Into Light Retreat
Dedicated, protected time away from the roles and responsibilities — surrounded by hearts who understand, guided by someone with the training and the lived experience to hold you safely through it.
You arrive carrying it alone. You leave knowing you never have to again.
The Moment It Begins
There is a moment I've witnessed hundreds of times, and it never stops moving me. A grieving person walks in — shoulders tight, mask on, ready to explain themselves for the thousandth time... and then they look around the room and realize: everyone here understands. No explaining. No pretending. No "aren't you over that yet?"
The shoulders drop. The breath deepens. For the first time in months — sometimes years — they exhale. That exhale is where healing begins.
What to Expect
This is not a lecture. Not a yoga retreat. Not a sad weekend of sitting in a circle crying — though tears are welcome, and so is laughter, and it comes more than you'd think. Our time flows gently through:
We begin softly — no icebreakers that put you on the spot, no pressure to share. Just a warm welcome into a space designed to feel safe from the first minute.
Accessible to every body — no experience or flexibility needed, everything optional, everything adaptable to a chair. If you can breathe, you can do this.
Grief lives in the body — the tight chest, the held breath, the exhaustion. These gentle practices help your body finally let go of the bracing.
Speak, or simply listen — both are honored equally. You will never be forced to share, and you will never be rushed when you do.
Giving shape to what feels unspeakable, keeping memories safe, and tracking the light as it returns.
Together we honor your loved one or your loss in a way you'll carry with you forever. This is the moment most attendees say they will never forget.
Who This Is For
You will never be asked to compare your loss to anyone else's or prove that your pain "counts." If your heart is grieving, you belong here.
A spouse or partner, a child at any age, a parent, a sibling, a friend — whether last month or decades ago.
A death without a funeral — and grief just as real.
The body you trusted, the career, the home, the future you assumed, the person you used to be.
Especially you. There is no timeline here — only understanding.
Upcoming Retreats & Workshops
Then you will be in the safest room you could possibly cry in. Tears are honored here — and so, by the way, is laughter, which arrives more often than you'd expect. Nothing you feel will be wrong.
Never. You may speak or simply listen — both are full participation. Many people who arrive certain they won't share find themselves gently ready by the end. Either way is honored.
Not at all — this is not a yoga retreat. Grief Yoga® is one gentle tool among many, requires no experience or flexibility, and every practice can be done from a chair. Everything is optional.
It is never too late. Grief has no expiration date, and neither does healing. Some of the most profound transformations I've witnessed came decades after a loss.
Yes — completely. Divorce, diagnosis, life transitions, every loss is welcomed and honored here. If your heart is grieving, you qualify. Full stop.
Your Next Step
You've spent so long taking care of everyone else. This is the space where someone finally takes care of you.
